Zauwie was founded by Nancy McGlinn, former senior vice president of the merchandise division of Alcone Marketing Group, a global sales promotion agency, owned by Omnicom. Twenty five years experience in the merchandise industry along with ongoing requests from clients for innovative products at low cost led to the creation of Zauwie, a minority owned certified WBE (Women Business Enterprise). Zauwie is a full service merchandise solutions company built on experience…not overhead. We start with a strategic approach that ties your branded merchandise needs to your marketing objectives. Our one stop solution includes overall senior account and project management of sourcing, premium design and custom manufacturing with the logistic expertise to deliver on a global basis. Our proven track record has led to creative premium design and delivery for clients and brands such as Toyota, Smart Car, Lexus, AMCI, Lincoln, Audi, YMCA, Quest Software, UPS, Voss Water, Panda Express, Allergan, Carls Jr., Jeep, Infiniti, Circa, Prive, eBay, Kia, Nestle and many more. This year, Zauwie formed a strategic alliance with Cathy Brown, a senior marketing professional, who has over 15 years experience in consumer packaged goods marketing. Cathy was responsible for strategic brand development, advertising, consumer promotions, new product development and packaging for household brands such as Hellmann’s/Best Foods Mayonnaise, Skippy, Shredded Wheat, Del Monte and Milk-Bone to name a few. The combination of Nancy and Cathy’s backgrounds provides Zauwie clients with unique synergies in marketing and branded merchandise savvy. |

ABOUT THE ZAUWIE NAME PRONOUNCED [zou - ee]
The name Zauwie was coined by Nancy’s grandfather who used to say “Zauwie Honey… That’s a great idea”! It was a natural choice to brand her company with this unique term that translates to the innovative solutions she loves to provide to her clients. Her desire to help clients discover the perfect premium that energizes their brand now has client’s echoing the sentiment – Zauwie – that’s a great idea!

Nancy McGlinn – Owner/President has 25 plus years experience in account management and new business development in premium merchandising. Prior to starting Zauwie, Inc., a WBE certified woman-owned merchandise solutions company, Nancy was the Senior Vice President of the merchandise division at Alcone Marketing Group, a global sales promotion agency owned by Omnicom. She led the development and overall account management of catalog and premium programs for clients such as eBay, Jeep, IHOP, Toyota, Chrysler, Dodge, Mitsubishi, Kia, BAX Global, Unilever, Starz Encore, California State Lottery and Pernod Ricard USA along with a number of other clients. Her experience includes trips overseas, including to China, to oversee custom programs for clients as well as source new product opportunities. Ongoing requests from clients for better solutions at competitive costs led to the creation of Zauwie. Since 2005, Zauwie has enjoyed successful partnerships with client’s bringing a variety of unique premium solutions both custom and “off the shelf” to life.
Cathy Brown – Marketing/Brand Strategist During her 15 year CPG marketing career at Nabisco Brands and Unilever, Cathy was known for developing strategic plans that were instrumental in leading the turnaround of the major household brands she managed. She has a track record of success in building brand equity, growing market share and achieving revenue and profit goals through unique and creative brand building ideas.
A couple of years ago Cathy formed her own marketing services company called Face2Face. Her primary focus during this time was consulting for OSL Marketing Corp. with the objective of expanding their services from Canada to the Orange County area through the formation of strategic alliances. Her role also included strategic planning and business development.
Through a newly formed strategic alliance with Zauwie – Cathy brings her experience of successfully managing brands for Fortune 100 companies to now supporting Nancy in providing innovative branded merchandise solutions to Zauwie clients.
